The Republic of North Macedonia is located in Southern Europe, in the heart of the Balkan Peninsula. It is a mountainous, landlocked country. Many of its cities face challenges such as traffic congestion, pollution, and low energy efficiency. The government hopes to optimize resource management and improve the quality of life for residents through smart city technology. From the exploratory phase in 2016 to its full implementation in 2021, North Macedonia's "Smart City" transformation plan has achieved some results. This plan is a key strategy promoting urban modernization, improving the efficiency of public services, and fostering sustainable development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Skopje is the capital and largest city of the Republic of North Macedonia. A third of the country's total population lives here. Its street lighting and other lighting systems are a vital part of its infrastructure. In addition to replacing streetlights with LEDs, real-time remote monitoring of streetlights is another important way to save energy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Customer problems<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Street lighting management in typical developing countries faces common infrastructure management problems, but also has its own unique dilemmas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Low level of intelligence<\/strong>
    Reliance on manual inspections or simple timers, lack of remote monitoring, false arms and other intelligent systems<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Waste of electricity<\/strong>
    A fixed on\/off schedule is used, without dynamic adjustment based on actual sunrise\/sunset times \u2013 resulting in power losses in the morning and evening. This outdated management increases municipal electricity expenditure by 20% to 30%.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Unstable power supply<\/strong>
    In some remote areas, street lighting can be unstable due to power grid problems. These areas with poor nighttime lighting have become high-incidence spots for traffic accidents and safety risks.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Slow maintenance response and lack of data management<\/strong>
    There is no complete database for street lamps, and the average repair time is 7-10 days.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Project products<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
