APD300-WP Three-in-one Wireless Partial Discharge Sensor

Partial discharges are a major cause of aging, deterioration, and even damage to insulation in electrical systems, which can lead to system failures and power grid disruptions. Acrel's APD series of partial discharge detectors for medium-voltage switchgear utilizes ultra-high frequency (UHF), partial discharge electric current (TEV), and ultrasonic ultrasonic (AE) sensors to detect partial discharge signals during electrical system operation. This allows them to identify hidden insulation hazards in high-voltage systems, issue warnings, and ensure the safe and reliable operation of the power grid. The wireless 3-in-1 partial discharge sensor APD300-WP monitors and detects partial discharge signals in electrical systems during operation using a UHF sensor, a TEV sensor, and an ultrasonic (AE) sensor. Partial discharge data is transmitted wirelessly via LoRa to the ATC600-PD radio transceiver and subsequently uploaded to the monitoring system platform. This enables the detection of potential insulation faults in high-voltage systems, provides early warnings and ensures the safe and reliable operation of the power grid.
