Project overview

This project is applied to monitoring the energy consumption of power towers in Africa. The customer must provide 24 sets of power distribution cabinets for detecting AC and DC power consumption and for alarm data collection from the towers.

Customer needs:

1. AC/DC circuits: Energy consumption monitoring
2. DC circuit energy consumption monitoring
3. Third-party alarm signal collection

All data is uploaded to the IoT platform via the ANET Gateway for online data management.

Project solution

To achieve real-time monitoring of electricity consumption, timely false alarm detection, and remote monitoring of energy consumption, this project has connected the following devices:

72 Acrel multifunction power meters
Over 24 Acrel gateways

Project effects

1. Reliable power supply
Real-time power parameter fault monitoring enables Party A to immediately detect anomalies in the power system, promptly identify and rectify line faults and equipment hazards, significantly reducing sudden power outage risks and losses for offices and businesses, and ensuring a stable power supply for all scenarios in the building.

2. Cost optimization
Remote monitoring of the tower's electricity consumption data and report export enable Party A to accurately track regional energy consumption. Analyzing consumption patterns identifies inefficient connections for targeted energy-saving strategies (waste prevention), while real-time data supports rational electricity distribution and optimized supply plans, reducing overall costs and increasing efficiency.
